High Point Market 2016 Style Spotters Spring 2016 preview
High Point Market 2016 (April 16 – 20) is the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point every six months. Serious retail home furnishings buyers and incredible design novelties can be found in High Point twice a year.
Every year there’s a group of style spotters that are present at high point furniture market in order to help us all with the best trends. We want to show you some of their perspectives on the looks to look for at Highpoint Furniture Spring Market.
«My passion for design is rooted in architecture, so I’m naturally drawn to furniture and accessories that boast a heightened sense of structure. I love combining an innovative use of form with texture, color, and light to create spaces that are captivating and evocative. High Point Market is a valuable resource where I can experience the quality and craftsmanship of items firsthand. I’ll be on the hunt for show stopping pieces and, with 2016 design trends offering up opulent fabrics, limitless customization, and a breathtaking mix of the old with the new, High Point Market is sure to deliver!»
«Our emphasis on laying a timeless foundation creates a perfect canvas for tailoring trends to our client’s taste. Seeing the latest looks at Market inspires us, recharging our creative juices. Last year’s designer collaborations – Windsor Smith for Arteriors and Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort and EJ Victor – were some of my favorites. Their sophisticated designs, incorporating mixed metals, edgy twists and delicious fabrics, have me eagerly anticipating their newest indulgences. Also, as we believe every successful room has a collected balance of old and new, I cannot wait to scout the one-of-a-kind treasures of the Antique & Design Center.»

«For me, Market is like Christmas! It’s the time of the year when all the designers emerge from their studios for what feels like a big design party. It’s a great place to rekindle friendships and see other designers who I otherwise only see once or twice a year. I’m eager to see what Bernhardt, Baker, and Hickory Chair Furniture Co. have to offer. The Antique and Design Center is also one of my favorite places to explore for fascinating finds. The most exciting part is definitely the furnishings, fabrics, and finishes that I have yet to discover!»
