Mahdavi wanted to celebrate the cultural history of the German city with her design and she chose to borrow from the geometric style of the Bauhaus and used it for the floor design of the 2,000 square-metre space.
With the busy environment of the shopping centre in mind, her KaDeWe design is also intended to stick out.
