What you can’t miss
2 Towers (Torri degli Asinelli e Garisenda)
The two towers are one of the traditional symbols of Bologna, and are located at the middle of the opening of Porta Ravegnana square. If you come to Bologna and your city tour does not include the 2 Towers, then you might as well say you never went to Bologna! If you want to have a like and comment explosion, then climb at one of the towers and take a picture w/ the view!
The Fountain of Neptune
The Fountain of Neptune was erected between 1564 and 1566 and was given to the city by Pope Pius Iv, to be used as an actual public fountain. This is probably the second most well known monument in Bologna so you definitely can’t miss it!
San Petronio and Piazza Maggiore
San Petronio is the major church in Bologna and it’s located in Piazza Maggiore, one of the most important streets. The church gained its name in honor of Bologna Patron, Saint Petroni and is another mandatory stop in your Bologna city guide!
Some people travel for the food
If you spend the day getting to know the city and even attended the Bologna Design Week, I assume you’re starving!
