House Tour: Mixing Scandinavian Style and Pastels in a Kiev Apartment

Kiev-based architect and interior designer Valery Yudin has some incredibly inspiring projects on his Behance profile. One of those projects is a Kiev apartment that mixes the best of scandinavian style with the most adorable pastel colors you could ever imagine. Of course, the result was a gorgeous modern apartment filled with nordic inspiration and fully prepared to greet the upcoming months of Fall and Winter.

Let’s take a little tour!

The open plan living space creates a cozier atmosphere, making it possible to be cooking and still hang out with friends when they are over for a little dinner party. The soothing color palette of grays, whites and aqua blue/green creates a modern look with a slight nordic inspiration.

The geometric tiling on the floor creates the illusion of a carpet under the dining table. The scandinavian table and the minimalist chairs are a great addition to the simple kitchen behind it, creating a very contemporary feeling to the living space.

The splashes of color definitely make the difference.

The highlight of the small living room area is the industrial-styled pastel floor lamp. It creates a great contrast next to the gray sofa and the light wooden sideboard under the tv set. And, of course, never forget to place a few plants here and there.

The master bedroom rocks the same color palette as the open plan kitchen and living room, and it has the advantage of having its own private bathroom. Although not very big, the illusion of space is created by the use of light colors and textures, that add depth to the interior design.

In the bathroom, a color block of white and beige was used for a modern look.

The children’s room is probably one of our favorite rooms of the whole house. Not only does it bring a surprise with more colors added to the mix, but it is also a very stylish kids’ room.

Yellow, aqua, gray and light wood combine together perfectly and the small colorful details on the wall recreate the look of a climbing wall, which is a great way to enjoy the space available and create a fun distraction for the younger.

And who wouldn’t like to have a chalk wall at their disposition? It is any kids’ dream…
