Since 2007 that Vienna Design Week has been spotlighting some of the best design of a European country. In 2019, the focus is going to be Finland. With a rich history when it comes to design, from Alvar Alto to Nokia, Finland is a remark in the history of remarkable design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am very happy to be able to look forward in 2019 to Finland as the guest country of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK. The Nordic countries have developed a clearly profiled style more or less without parallel and it has been influencing the whole world for decades.<\/em>\u201c, says Lilli Hollein, director of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 13th edition of the design event is an eclectic array of events across the city. During the 10 day festival, the \u201ccity full of design\u201d is the place to be if you\u2019re looking for the out of the box styles and creativity with showcases of collaborations between designers and Viennese crafts and
artisan enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With plenty on its plate, Vienna Design Week 2019 has been a landmark in the 360 form \u2013 through a wide range of exhibitions, workshops, lectures, tours, and more throughout the city, the Vienna design event presents design\u00a0as an interdisciplinary endeavour, where aesthetics, sociopolitics, and practical application meet.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the location changes each year, this year the design event HQ is Althan quarter, specifically the building above Franz Josephs Bahnhof railway station. With Alsergrund taken the token of the design district of 2019, the diversity and unique atmosphere of the place to visit this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
