With heightened security features, Oktoberfest 2019<\/span><\/em><\/strong> is nestled in Munich\u2019s central Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district, will be fenced off \u2014 including the open area along the Theresienhoehe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tens of thousands of people stormed into Munich Oktoberfest 2019. The largest beer festival opened one hour ahead of the official opening to avoid overcrowding to the festival-goers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compelling to tradition, Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter tapped the first keg on Saturday with two blows of a hammer and the cry of \u201cO\u2019zapft is\u201d \u2014 \u201cit\u2019s tapped.\u201d Along with some of the traditions of the festival such as traditionally dressed brass musicians participate in the opening parade of the 2019 Oktoberfest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
