Dakota Johnson<\/span><\/em><\/strong> is one of Hollywood\u2019s favorite movie stars<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, and this week she invited the Architectural Digest team to see her escape from the Los Angeles busy lifestyle. With a unique interior design<\/a><\/span><\/strong> that is all about the mid-century modern style<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, this incredible celebrity home is a complete paradise for those design lovers<\/a><\/span><\/strong> who love a good project with a great story!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"product,black,amy,amytable,tablelamp\"<\/a>\n\n\n\n

In order to get her dream mid-century modern<\/a><\/span><\/strong> house, Dakota Johnson<\/span><\/em><\/strong> asked Pierce & Ward to craft a dreamy refuge from the bustle of Los Angeles. With a unique architectural appeal, the beautiful home was built by the renowned architect Carl Maston, and the Hollywood<\/a><\/span><\/strong> star fell in love with it as soon as her realtor showed her on the single day she went to see L.A. properties, four years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After her huge success of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, which she started filming when she was 24, Dakota Johnson<\/span><\/em><\/strong> decided to buy her own little escape where she could put down roots and \u201crunway\u201d of her busy Hollywood<\/a><\/span><\/strong> star lifestyle. The design firm Pierce & Ward, which has offices in L.A. and Nashville, helped execute Johnson\u2019s wish list. This mid-century modern<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>home is filled with the most unique design ideas<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, for example, the entire wall of the living room is a series of oversized front doors is just one of the unique quirks. These were the small details that drew Johnson to this mid-century modern<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>house buried in the trees of a sleepy Los Angeles cul-de-sac.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDakota was extremely fun to work with because she had a very clear vision of what she wanted,\u201d said Emily Ward, co-founder of the interior design<\/a><\/span><\/strong> firm, who had met the Dakota Johnson<\/span><\/em><\/strong> when she was living in Nashville. \u201cWe basically made mood boards and came over for fabric-selecting.\u201d According to Ward, the designing process was quite easy thanks to their incredible connection, the biggest challenge was without a doubt on the upstairs floor, since it was made entirely of natural cork.
