The cigar in the mouth,       the casual way of being,       the intense look, the captivating charm. In one word: passionant. Behind the music lays the man that attracted millions of fans over the world, creating an espiral of followers without precedents. The man that would be recognised, years later, as one of the greatest\u00a020th-century popular culture icon.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"elvis presley\" src=\"http:\/\/www.esquire.com\/cm\/esquire\/images\/wv\/esq-elvis-presley-photograph-lg.jpg\" alt=\"elvis\" width=\"460\" height=\"600\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cThe thing I like about success<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is to know that you\u2019ve got so many friends. A lot of real close friends that I\u2019ve made since I\u2019ve been in the business.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Elvis\u2019s life was intense as a coaster: he began his carrer\u00a0in 1954, working with Sun Records\u00a0owner Sam Philips.<\/p>\n<p>Presley\u2019s first RCA single, \u201cHeartbreack Hotel\u201d, released in January 1956, was a number-one hit. I read a lot of philosophy and some poetry. That type of stuff interests me<\/em><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As we said in the beginning, everybody knew Elvis, since that old times: his energized interpretations of songs, many from African American\u00a0sources, and performance style made him enormously popular\u2014and controversial.\u00a0In November 1956, he made his film debut in<em>\u00a0Love me Tender.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1405\" title=\"Elvis\" src=\"http:\/\/delightfull.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/elvis.jpeg\" alt=\"Elvis\" width=\"460\" height=\"585\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.delightfull.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/elvis.jpeg 460w, https:\/\/www.delightfull.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/elvis-315x400.jpeg 315w, https:\/\/www.delightfull.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/elvis-300x382.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.delightfull.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/elvis-393x500.jpeg 393w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px\"><\/p>\n<p>It would be in 1973 when prescription drug abuse severely compromised his health, and it would be in 1977 when he would die at the age of 42.<\/p>\n<p>He had a versatile voice and unusually wide success encompassing many genres, including<\/p>\n<p>Country, pop, ballads, gospel and blues: he sang \u00a0all these music styles without blink. This fact contributed to become the best selling solo artist in the history of popular music.<\/p>\n<p>Nominated for 14 competitive Grammys, he won three, and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award\u00a0at age 36.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Elvis would be 77 years old but destiny has chosen form him a perpetual youth.<\/p>\n<p>Halls of fame are now enrichen by Elvis\u2019 light for eternity.<span style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em><br>\n<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everybody knows Elvis.
