The origin of the Basel fair<\/em> <\/strong>dates back to 1917 and the first Schweizer Mustermesse Basel (MUBA), which means \u201cSwiss Design Fair Basel\u201d in German. But I was not until 1931 that a dedicated pavilion was established at the MUBA for a Swiss Watch Fair, which was the origin of Baselworld, recognized today, as the most important watch and jewelry event of its kind in the world.<\/p>\n
