Peter Marino<\/strong><\/em> doesn\u2019t need any kind of presentation. Even so, we need to insist on remembering that this magnificent architect is best known for his successful retail exteriors and interiors and for befitting luxury retailers as Dior, Chanel or even Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n

The thing is: Maison et Objet Americas<\/strong> is almost arriving and if you are visiting Miami\u00a0for the M&O tradeshow, there are a lot of great stuff for you to do in the city. Miami is known for its perfect sunny and sexy beaches, but there\u2019s more about it. Some cultural education never hurt nobody, so you really should visit Marino\u2019s show at the Bass Museum of Art<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0\u201cOne Way: Peter Marino<\/strong>\u201d will be in Miami Beach, through May 3. It happened when George Lindemann and several other board members went to Marino\u2019s office in Manhattan and said, \u201cWouldn\u2019t it be cool to have an exhibition that felt like your work space?\u201d<\/em> See more here<\/a>. Visiting this exhibition, you will be able to find\u00a0architect\u2019s multifaceted relationship with art.\u00a0The main point of this collection is exactly: \u201cPeter Marino collects art, Peter Marino commissions art, and Peter Marino builds art.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In an interview for Architectural Digest, Marino said: \u201cIt\u2019s important to say that the Bass exhibition is not a retrospective. We\u2019re showing architecture from just the past seven or eight years, and the largest part of my art collection, my Renaissance bronzes, won\u2019t be a focus. I\u2019ve already displayed those at L.A.\u2019s Huntington Library, the Wallace Collection in London, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. The Miami audience is, shall we say, quite pop. Most of the show is what I would call young and fun and hip.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
