The Cotton House Hote <\/strong>is one of the best creations of the Design World<\/em>.\u00a0<\/strong>The Cotton House Hote. The feel is a mixture of neoclassical and colonial gentleman\u2019s club \u2013 like stepping inside a Merchant Ivory film. The\u00a0Cotton House Hotel stands on the site of the former headquarters of the Cotton Textile Foundation in Barcelona.\u00a0It was bought by Marriott, which refurbished it and opened it in January this year as part of its Autograph Collection
\nEverything about the Cotton House is classy \u2013 stunning beyond estimation with rooms that demand to be savoured!<\/p>\n

The views from the new Cotton House hotel in central Barcelona aren\u2019t at all memorable. There are dull buildings at the back blocking a sea view and a pleasant but not spectacular avenue at the front \u2013 the Gran Via De Les Corts Catalanes in the Eixample District.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/p>\n

The feel is a mixture of neoclassical with a dash of tropical colonial gentleman\u2019s club \u2013 a bit like stepping inside a Merchant Ivory film.\u00a0The terrace outside tends to be full of people feeling very smug about having booked themselves in to the hotel .\u00a0The plunge pool is small, but a great sun trap \u2013 and affords views across to the world-famous Sagrada Fam\u00edlia<\/p>\n

The restaurant sits right next to the bar and roof terrace, with elegant crockery forming part of the design.\u00a0Everything about the Cotton House is classy \u2013 lavish beyond estimation. In every room there\u2019s an outbreak of wide-eyed gazing as I admire the d\u00e9cor and savour the restful ambience.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/p>\n

It\u2019s made of the most beautiful wood and is adorned with two of the biggest lamps I\u2019ve ever seen. There are London flats with less volume than these. It\u2019s the most striking concierge desk in the West. But that\u2019s the Cotton House in a nutshell \u2013 every room is supremely crafted and eye catching. To one side are two library rooms richly populated with books, art and gorgeous chairs. A fine place to sip a gin and tonic.<\/p>\n
