FYF Fest usually combines the best of two worlds: the spirit of LA and the deluxe performances of Coachela. The 2012 edition was no exception.<\/p>\n

Some call it a meeting of the best underground music performers. Others underline the hypnotic evenings of the fest and consider that this festival \u201chas it all\u201d. \u201cFYF Fest 2012\u201d was the gathering of sound, taste and risky, in a good kind of way, performances. The ninth edition, the four stages and the two days festival: the calculation is done and the fest was amazing.<\/p>\n

Indie, electronic and rock were the music chords of the fest. From a relaxing Saturday and an energetic Sunday, the dissonances between the days combined perfectly. The indie scene and the dance music came on stage with the strength and maturity of old distinctive coats.<\/p>\n

The LA skyline was different in the labour weekend and \u201cnot labour\u201d was the plot line of it. From the electronic rockers The Faint, to the minimalistic electro of Simian Mobile Disco, every performance was a surprise and the hipster community can certainly confirm it. With 80 artists the highline went to M83, Yeasayer, Beirut and Sleigh Bells. The<\/em> festival poster was amazing and some even call it a \u201cmini Coachela\u201d. The quality of the bands and the unique LA environment transformed the weekend into a huge music paradise.<\/p>\n
