The simplicity of geometry meets the essence of detail in by Lassen<\/strong>\u2019s new wool throw Mesch, which was designed on the basis of one of architect Mogens Lassen\u2019s patterns and it was\u00a0at Maison et Objet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMesch takes its starting point in one of Mogens Lassen\u2019s meticulous geometric patterns which we have enlarged on the wool throw to emphasise the richness of detail. Mogens Lassen loved navy blue and the burnt mustard shade, both of which recur in his design and architecture, and including them in our collection was a natural choice,\u201d explains Nadia Lassen, great-granddaughter of Mogens Lassen and director of by Lassen.<\/p>\n

The special double-woven texture gives the throw extra luxuriance and creates different colour surfaces on each side, ensuring a stunning contrast between the light and the dark. It also highlights the pattern band of sleek lines that wind in and around each other and almost appear to move within the light, airy material.<\/p>\n

The quality of the wool is outstanding and Mesch is especially well-matched with Flemming Lassen\u2019s overupholstered chair The Tired Man and Mingle. The tactility and sensuousness of the throw softens the square, stringent design idiom that by Lassen is otherwise known for, and with its intense, saturated colours Mesch brings added depth to the collection\u2019s range of colours.<\/p>\n

The throw is made\u00a0for by Lassen by a Danish wool mill and it is crafted from 100% Peruvian highland wool.
