From the \u00a0past monday until the 30th<\/sup> of September \u00a0the canadian cityof Ottawa\u00a0\u00a0welcomes the Architecture Week of Ottawa, \u00a0<\/strong>which takes place in the\u00a0Saint Brigid\u2019s Centre for the Arts.<\/p>\n

During this week in the there will be public lectures, a bicycle tour, a pub crawl, a special children\u2019s event, a movie screening and an art exhibition of light installations.<\/p>\n

The main goal of this event is to raise awareness on how lighting is important when designing a building because light not only gives us the ability to see in the dark but also affects our physical and emotional wellbeing.<\/p>\n

Here are some special guests lecturing in the event, responsibles for the lighting exhibitions.<\/p>\n

Louise Laland<\/a><\/p>\n

Louise\u2019s fascination with the human psyche and the arts led her to explore the emotional and physical response to color, light, shape and space within personal and public realms.<\/p>\n

Paul Mercier<\/a><\/p>\n

\"architecture<\/a><\/p>\n

Mr. Mercier is a judge for lighting design awards\u00a0including the International Illumination Design Award for\u00a0IESNA and General Electric\u2019s International Edison\u00a0Awards.<\/p>\n

Bruce Meiklejohn<\/p>\n

\"architecture<\/a><\/p>\n

Ottawa senior lighting designer, and graduate architect,\u00a0Bruce Meiklejohn\u00a0will help debunk some of the myths in the lighting world.<\/p>\n

Samuel Arsenault-Brassard<\/p>\n

Samuel Arsenault-Brassard is an artist pursuing an architecture degree at Carleton University.<\/p>\n

Andrew O\u2019Malley<\/a><\/p>\n

\"andrew\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Andrew O\u2019Malley is a multi-disciplinary artist and engineer working\u00a0with algorithms and code to create interactive artworks responsive to\u00a0both remote environments and the immediate surroundings, through\u00a0sensors and data networks.<\/p>\n

Kenneth Emig<\/a><\/p>\n

For over 20 years, Kenneth Emig has been involved in acoustic design research and development, telephone and hand-held device manufacturing, and related exploratory projects.<\/p>\n

As he explores intersections and amalgamations of body, space, motion, light, technology, and sound, his work strives to remind us that our perceptions are of objects and ideas have no beginning, boundary or end.<\/p>\n

Until 30th, you are able to assist to lightings exhibitions of these artists.<\/p>\n
