It all began in 2002, when Maison et Objet<\/strong><\/em> created an \u00abObservatoire de la Maison\u00bb<\/em> which catalogues new trends in consumption and emerging lifestyles.<\/p>\n

All the members of the Observatoire import their striking discoveries, their emotions and their intuitions about emerging lifestyles. In this way they decide a topic as the running theme of the season. Emotions, Desires, Secret, Luxuries, Use, Intensity \u2026 the themes refer to major, all-encompassing trends and not the whims of fashion. There\u2019s an Observatoire with several designers and other professionals that are looking for inspirations in nature, so that\u2019s the name of this year theme for Maison et Objet<\/strong>: Wild!<\/em><\/p>\n

While presenting the theme at the fair,\u00a0the visitors were\u00a0<\/strong>assured that the theme wild is all about nature inspirations. Nature is damaged these days and we want to create focusing on the wild topic. What\u00a0Observatoire<\/em> is doing is an influence, something that will continue. Moreover, it is believed in\u00a0natural way to create new lines.<\/p>\n

We are focused in what we call a mood book, and deliberating about nature like something that we dream of, a place where change takes place. Forest\u00a0\u2013\u00a0a place where you can find peace. Trees were always related with something sacred. What we see is that there\u2019s a trend about what\u2019s sacred, not religion, but what exists in nature.<\/p>\n

We try to talk about these places where you can get lost, feel fear, but you can also find yourself. Florests\u00a0or\u00a0trees in poetry are a place where you can have time to think, theres a trend about this, city like dangerous place. Designers worked in incredible and powerful kind of brutal experiences, as fashion, decorative art, creative food, design, all of this is inspired by nature.<\/p>\n

They were involved the following people\u00a0and\u00a0brands in this project:\u00a0Robi Renzi,\u00a0Floris Wubber,\u00a0Fredrikson Stallard,\u00a0Annastasiya Koshcheeva,\u00a0Kveng Kaput,\u00a0Henzel Studio,\u00a0Scut of Coal (black food),\u00a0Werner Neuman,\u00a0Jerome Wandell,\u00a0Sarmite Palakova,\u00a0Juniper Ridge (cosmetics\/shampoos\/incense),\u00a0Attrap\u2019 reves,\u00a0Matali Casseti (house nest),\u00a0Guerilla Grafters,\u00a0Kveng Kaputo,\u00a0Godefray de Vinieu,\u00a0Guerilla crafters,\u00a0Joko Avianto,\u00a0Yoland Heintzer,\u00a0Petre Marigold,\u00a0Sergev Kitchen Bulbo,\u00a0Hermen de Vries,\u00a0Capsula Mundi (nature cofins),\u00a0E 15 Design, Philippe Mainzer and others. To complete, Fran\u00e7ois Bernard\u00a0discussed the role of nature in an era where forms and materials reconnect with the elements to find the harmony between modern man and wilderness.<\/p>\n
