\nAn image of the Pritzker laureate Alvaro Siza<\/strong><\/em>\u2018s first US building\u00a0has been released. Named \u2018611 west 56th street\u2019<\/em>, the New York project is being developed by real estate development firms Sumaida + Khurana and LENY. The extravagant condominium, located in the city\u2019s hell\u2019s kitchen neighborhood, will be over 400 feet tall (120 meters) and comprise 80 residences across 34 storeys.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once built, the tower will have a landscaped roof garden, a sun deck, and several private terraces. And it will also feature amenities like\u00a0a private swimming pool, a spa and fitness center, a children\u2019s playroom, a screening room, and an entertainment space to host private events.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00c1lvaro Siza is one of the world\u2019s most celebrated architects. We are honored to be working with Siza on his first building in the United States and believe that this project will capture the elegance and profound subtlety that is at the heart of his work. His sensitivity and collaborative mentality is teaching us as much about humanity as architecture,\u201d said Sumaida + Khurana founder Amit Khurana.<\/p>\n

The project is expected to be completed by 2019.<\/p>\n
