Salone del mobile<\/strong><\/em>: What about a little bit of inspiration by the best designers?\u00a0Campana Brothers<\/strong> will release at Salone del Mobile 2016<\/em> a new design piece: the AQUARIO cabinet. The Brazilian duo Humberto and Fernando Campana have used colored glass to fill blob-shaped gaps in this wooden cabinet for Spanish brand BD Barcelona Design. From this encounter comes\u00a0Aqu\u00e1rio, the new cabinet that will be presented at the trade show in Milan.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cWe have been in touch with BD Barcelona Design\u2019s art director Ram\u00f3n \u00dabeda for a couple of years now. We discussed ideas that have matured and resulted into the buffet we crafted. We were inspired by the idea of an Aquarium to create this piece\u2019, <\/em>explains Fernando Campana.<\/p>\n

\nHumberto continues: \u2018We love to create hybrids using two different materials; a warm one and a cold one. It has become part of our design language. I wanted to play with the idea of opposite weights too; the lightness of the glass and the massiveness of the wood. The immaterialness of the first one and the physicalness of the second one\u2019.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\nAnd Fernando adds: \u2018The sideboard is made out of wood, ash or pinewood, and colored glass doors. There are glass shelves inside the buffet in order to let the light and the transparency of the material. Two different color versions will be available\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Campana\u2019s fearlessly playful furniture designs, are all over the world and at Carpenters Workshop Gallery in\u00a0Paris<\/strong> will take a presentation of\u00a0unexpected materials,which are the subject of an eye-opening new exhibition, Manufatura.<\/i><\/p>\n
