He begin is\u00a0own design firm in 2006, de C\u00e1rdenas worked for Calvin Klein as a men\u2019s collection designer and as a creative director for special effects production house Imaginary Forces.<\/p>\n

C\u00e1rdenas interest in invent environments with moods, as opposed to any specific style, has allowed him to work with a wide array of clients including Barneys New York, Baccarat, Cartier, Nordstrom, Nike and Ford Models.<\/p>\n

In 2011 de C\u00e1rdenas begun creating his first furniture collection with Johnson Trading Gallery and in 2012 was the first and only that American invited him to participate in AD Interi\u00e9urs Voyages. His latest design collaborations include the Nike \u2013 45 Grand fitness studio in SoHo, the reincarnation of hotspot Asia de Cuba in NYC<\/span>, jewelry designer Deflina Delettrez\u2019s London boutique and a reinterpretation of Kartell\u2019s \u201cBourgie Lamp\u201d for its 10th Anniversary.<\/p>\n

Rafael de C\u00e1rdenas has also been named a Featured Designer<\/em> for AD France Collector and to the Architectural Digest AD100<\/em> list.<\/p>\n
