Both projects are clear examples of the designers\u2019\u00a0minimal approach to architecture and interiors.\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t design what I do because I want to try and live the way it\u2019s telling me to,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s just how I want things. It\u2019s a reflection of who I am and what I am.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mostly the interiors are composed by the combination of\u00a0Scandinavian furnishings paired with white surfaces and pale wooden floors. To work, he have a simple ans\u00a0 lofty\u00a0space where a concrete staircase matches the architectural models on show, and Apple computers are dotted along simple, functional desks.<\/p>\n

Pawson believes that\u00a0his minimal style is a reflection of his own aesthetic tastes, rather than\u00a0a\u00a0proposal for an alternative, stripped-back\u00a0lifestyle.<\/p>\n

Borned in Yorkshire in 1949, and opening his own London office in 1987, although he never finished his\u00a0 training,\u00a0so is not officially recognised as an architect in the UK.\u00a0But he is\u00a0about to unveil his most high-profile project to date, the new home for London\u2019s Design Museum.<\/p>\n

For him, the main gold of his work is to create a place where people can feel good, feel like home.\u00a0\u201cYou go somewhere and you feel good. That\u2019s what I first noticed as a boy. It\u2019s the difference between a building that\u2019s just a building and architecture that\u2019s special.\u201d.<\/p>\n
