Talented designers dramatically remade a Palm Springs, California estate, by updating and refurnishing a sprawling\u00a0mid-century modern <\/strong><\/em>home, which is one of the highlights of the annual Palm Springs Modernism Week.<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cMid-century endures\u201d<\/strong> says Christopher Kennedy<\/a>, the creative force behind the Christopher Kennedy Compound. \u201cEveryone\u2019s pace is so hectic now, that I think that we crave simplicity. For me, midcentury modern is about doing more with less, surroundings ourselves with fewer things but things that have meaning and a connection to the natural environment.
