Austrian design is known for creating products that are, most of all, functional and adaptable, but that doesn\u2019t mean that those products can\u2019t also be trendy, and as proof of that are these 10 designers that we are going to show you.<\/p>\n

The first designer is Veronika Persch\u00e9, who has worked as a\u00a0textile designer since 1999. She owns a knitting workshop and she creates 3D fabric structures with the help of a computer-driven knitting machine. Her pieces are unique and we can\u2019t help comparing them to the drawings of M.C. Escher.<\/p>\n

Rainer Mutsch, another rising star of Austrian design, is more connected to furniture and has previously worked at Studio Werner Aisslinger, one of the top design studios in Berlin. His more awarded project is Dune, a six-piece modular garden furniture made out of 100% recyclable cellulose fibre cement which allow the user to adapt the position of the seats. This project brought him the Green Good Design Award in 2011, the Good Design Award in 2010 and the Red Dot Design Award in 2009.<\/p>\n

Valentin Vodev, designed an unconventional tricycle able to carry up to 40kg. He believes that design can be converted into products that define new forms and functions. As he says, \u201cdesign is a cocktail of logic that can be used everywhere\u201d.<\/p>\n

Thomas Feichtner is more focused on experimental and artistic design approaches. He has participated in several collaborative and freelance projects and awarded several prizes. His products can be found in several international design collections.<\/p>\n

Sandra Haischberger founded the studio Feinedinge in 2005 and it wasn\u2019t too long until Silvie Siegl and Judith Geifing joined her. Their fine porcelain products are 100% handmade in Austria and stand out because of their irregular form, colour and d\u00e9cor, making each piece unique.<\/p>\n

Nina Levett\u2019s irreverent work is more connected with pattern and ornaments that are used in a lot of surfaces and products such as cutlery, glassware or textiles. Influenced by the Wiener Werkst\u00e4tte, her works combine the old with the new and the final results are incredible.<\/p>\n

Bea Kraus is an amazing graphic and illustration designer whose work is inspired by nature and fashion and this combination is amazing. She has clients such as Swarovski, Triumph International, Elle, Vogue, etc.<\/p>\n

In 2009, Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler founded the studio mischer\u2019traxler, in Vienna, and they follow a line of experimental design, which ends up in works like the \u201cTrapped Flies\u201d installation, which consists on 52 different glasses, each containing an artificial fly with a motor. As the fly moves, it touches the glass making a sound and all flies together produce a little concert.<\/p>\n

Andreas Eberharter is famous for the unique jewellery he creates and has been awarded several times with his brand AND_i. He has been the choice of celebrities such as Lady Gaga or Thierry Muller.<\/p>\n
