Somewhere in Vilnius \u2013 the capital of Lithuania \u2013 there is a magnificent project created by Arches<\/a>, an architectural firm recognized around the world.<\/p>\n

Calm<\/em> and harmony<\/em> are some words that describe this wooden house in its fullness. The project named \u201cValley Villa\u201d strikes the perfect balance with an architectural style that is at the same time modern and traditional.
\nIn full harmony with the hillsides and pine trees, this unique place, clad in 7,000 sq. ft. of sustainable Kebony wood, was designed to complement this nature scenery with natural timber cladding and irregular pitched roofs.<\/p>\n

This is a contemporary and eco-friendly project in which clean and angular design creates a minimalist exterior with Kebony, the prime material that contrasts clearly against the black state at the building\u2019s base. The goal of the lead architects, A.Liola, R.Liola, E.Neni\u0161kis, M.Kau\u010dikait\u0117, E.Ge\u0161tautait\u0117, is to focus on interweaving natural materials with a bold sculptural form.<\/p>\n

In fact, the firm has chosen Kebony to work with because it is a resistance natural material that stands up to testing conditions far better than softwood. Moreover, it does not require any additional treatment even when used as an external cladding.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is the reconstruction of the rest house surrounded by the pine forests. The title itself, the nearby protected ethnographic villages, the arrays of the pine forests and the ultimate connection with water inspires this idea. It was intended to create the composition of compact volumes scattered among the pines.<\/p>\n

The impression of scattering and dissolving is created consciously. The graphic of trees\u2018 trunks, the transparency of pine forests, lightness and grace are intended to reveal when creating the houses\u2018 volumes hanging above the water. It is intended to create the immediate relationship with the natural environment and privacy<\/strong> that are necessary for rest.
