Caf\u00e9 Foam \u2013 Stockholm<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

The vibrantly warm Caf\u00e9 Foam is located amidst the hustle and bustle of Stockholm. When they were given the brief, Note Design Studio were told to \u201ccreate an interior design that people either love or hate and that nobody is indifferent to, \u201d and what could be more extreme than the passion and hate of Spanish bullfighting? The movements of the battle between bull and bullfighter and the materials and colours of a bullfight were the inspiration behind the bright design. Note Design Studio say that the end result allows \u201cthe Spanish temperament to meet Scandinavian coolness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paris<\/strong><\/p>\n

Coutume Caf\u00e9 \u2013 Paris<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Caf\u00e9 Coutume, a popular coffee shop in the heart of Paris, was conceptualised and created by Paris-based studio CUT architectures. As well as serving rich and warm beverages, Coutume also combines the elements of a roastery and sells a variety of deliciously fresh delicacies. The interior is typically Parisian with high ceilings, columns, and a bright, airy atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Japan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tullys Coffee \u2013 Japan<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Next, we head to Kagoshima in Japan where Tully\u2019s Coffee shop stretches out across the first floor of an elegant hotel. In true Japanese style, the design is minimal and individual chairs and tables are placed close to one another. Whilst still respecting clients\u2019 privacy, the design aims to encourage social behaviour against a sleek backdrop.<\/p>\n

Berlin<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vanilla \u2013 Berlin<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Vanilla, a tiny coffee shop situated in East Berlin, was designed by Ariel Aguilera and Andrea Benyi of Pandarosa and emanates a deliciously retro vibe. The design is based around the loops and patterns from the logo typography and the soft pastel colours and quirkily cute fixtures provide the interior with a welcoming 50s feel.<\/p>\n

Amsterdam<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bank \u2013 Amsterdam<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

The Bank in Amsterdam is actually a concept store from Starbucks but its individual design makes it stand out from the chain-store crowd. It was designed and created by thirty-five different artists and craftsmen who used sustainable materials to produce a warm and welcoming interior. There are also a number of local design touches, including the use of antique Delft tiles and the inner tubes of bicycles lining the walls.<\/p>\n

UK\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Society Caf\u00e9 \u2013 Bath<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

The UK\u2019s offering comes in the form of the Society Caf\u00e9 in Bath, which was designed by Ben Rolls from Simple Simon Design. The rustic d\u00e9cor was created with recycled fittings and fixtures, panelled walls and a number of antique goods. These have then been combined with various contemporary elements which contrast to make a fascinating coffee-drinking space.<\/p>\n

?\u00f3d?, Poland<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Zmianatematu \u2013 Lodz<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Zmianatematu is situated in ?\u00f3d?, one of Poland\u2019s lesser-known towns. It was conceptualised and created by xm3, a group of young artists from Warsaw, who produced a psychedelic plywood design that stands in complete contrast to the old, historic exterior of the caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Tel Aviv<\/strong><\/p>\n

Loveat Jaffa \u2013 Israel<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Loveat Jaffa, situated in Tel Aviv, was designed by Studio Ronen Levin and Eran Chehanowitz. Originally an orange-packing plant, the coffee shop has been transformed into a vibrant space with industrials hints. The designers state that they were \u201cinspired by the building\u2019s history\u201d so split the space up into small segments of different sizes, imitating the crates that the oranges would have been packed in. In keeping with this theme, the kitchen can be found inside a steel cargo container and the toilet is submerged in a square of timber planks.<\/p>\n

Budapest<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Caf\u00e9 Callas \u2013 Budapest\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Perhaps the grandest offering on this list is Caf\u00e9 Callas based in Hungary\u2019s capital, Budapest, which is the brainchild of world-famous designer David Collins. The concept behind it aims to preserve the traditional aspects of the city as well as to represent contemporary design. For what it\u2019s worth, the art-deco inspired spot might well be the most elegant coffee-sipping space in the world!<\/p>\n

New York<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despresso \u2013 New York<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Last but by no means least is D\u2019espresso, a hot drinking hole in the metropolis of New York. The interior was designed by Nemaworkshop and inspired by the Bryant Park Library. The idea was to create the interior so that it gave the illusion of a library turned on its side.<\/p>\n
