In September of last year was launched an international design competition for a national Holocaust Memorial<\/strong><\/em> to honor all the victims and survivors of that tragic event. The main goal is to create a \u201cplace for everyone to come to remember the holocaust\u201d, the memorial will be located in London and will affirm the United Kingdom\u2019s commitment to stand up against prejudice and hatred.<\/p>\n

Comparing the memorial with an ear that connects visitors with all the voices and testimonies of those who experienced the holocaust. Visitors descend from the gardens through a series of thresholds and passages, encountering individual voices as they form a collective, of those who speak of past horrors and the grave risk of authoritarianism and barbarism returning today.<\/p>\n
