The luxury store, Harrods<\/strong><\/em>, has been retailing furniture since ever! The store\u00a0has developed an elegant library featuring big names in the design industry, such as Vitra, DelightFULL<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Gubi. But now, for the first time ever, the British brand is launching its own furniture line<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

\"The\"architecture<\/a><\/p>\n

The well known\u00a0British brand\u00a0has long been creating womenswear, menswear and luxury linens imbued with its own aesthetic. They decided to grow with\u00a0the inaugural furniture launch, created in collaboration with Italian brand Porada and British upholsterers Artistic.<\/h4>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

\u201cDesigning a furniture collection in-house was the next step after the re-launch of Harrods Home four years ago,\u201d says the director of home, Annalise Fard. \u201cWe wanted to create a range which we could truly trust the quality of \u2013 and saw no better way to achieve this than working with two of our longest standing partners.\u201d<\/p>\n

Staying authentic to the materials used, the Italian\u00a0company search\u00a0to \u201ccombine artisanal craftsmanship with advanced processes; to treat the raw materials with the utmost respect,\u201d says Porada\u2019s Mauro Nastri.<\/p>\n

All the collection harks back to 1930s heritage,\u00a0with accents of ziricote, maple and sycamore for the deep woods, combined with satin brass to allude to art deco influences. We can also find some marble in the huge range of furniture,\u00a0particularly in the statement \u2018Sayre\u2019 console.<\/p>\n

Marble is really one of the big trends this season, take a look at Donna Table Lamp<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from DelightFULL<\/strong><\/a>. This noble and elegant piece boasts a patterned composition of straight brass tubes in rhythm with the irregular shades of the Estremoz white marble<\/strong>, defining the jazzy saxophone melody creating a beautiful match for the classiest environments.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the real synergy between Porada and the luxury store is the love of quality and the emphasis placed on respect for natural materials,\u201d explained Nastri. In recent years, Harrods has become a destination during the London Design Festival, all the while hosting exclusive design collaborations and coveted pop-ups.<\/p>\n
