Matching the undergoing change in Ecuador\u2019s capital, Quito, one of our favorite designers \u2013 Marcel Wanders<\/strong><\/em><\/a> \u2013 took it upon himself to create an eco-friendly and nature-inspired interior for the future YOO<\/a> Residential\u00a0Tower. The YOO Residential Tower<\/strong> project in Quito will be the result of a collaboration Arquitect\u00f3nica, Uribe & Schwarzkopf and Wanders & YOO. Envisioned as an \u2018urban sculpture<\/strong>\u2019, the 19-storey slender residential tower will no doubt have a memorable interior. Let\u2019s check it out!<\/p>\n

The shifted levels produce a movement that undulates up towards the sky<\/strong>, giving a different character in comparison to all the schemes built up in this central area of the city.<\/p>\n

Marcel Wanders<\/a>\u2018 vision for the interior is a tribute to Ecuadorian flora and fauna that has unfolded into verdant spaces designed to be lived.<\/strong>\u00a0We can also understand where the designer has drawn his inspiration from: earth, air and fire. These elements will be captured in the earth tones used, natural light, sensations of serenity and interior details displaying crafts, patterns and colors.<\/p>\n

Multiple sports courts will be available for residents to play different sports such as volleyball, basketball and football!<\/p>\n

In addition to using natural, low ecological-impact materials<\/strong>, Wanders will develop ways to create smarter living spaces. Each apartment was designed to minimize solar impact. Light and movement sensors were installed for energy efficiency, while green terraces in outside areas minimize construction\u2019s impact and transparent glass serves to optimize lighting. Everything in this futuristic building was thought to be as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nature and green elements that make the most of nature and optimize all the natural resources Ecuador has available<\/strong> are present in every aspect of this inspiring design by Marcel Wanders.<\/p>\n

This residential building is still being conceived, but once it is finished we believe it\u2019ll probably be one of the greatest masterpieces in Ecuador\u2019s beautiful capital. We can\u2019t wait to see the end result of this incredible green architecture example!<\/strong><\/p>\n
