Dlr Lexicon library by Carr Cotter & Naessens<\/h4>\n

\"A\"new<\/a><\/p>\n

The Irish Firm Carr Cotter & Naessens added a huge window to this library that allows you to have the most amazing view over the sea from the inside.<\/p>\n

Galway Picture Palace by dePaor Architects<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

In this amazing concrete cinema by Irish studio dePaor Architects, the architects cast Boxy lettering that spells out both the English and Gaelic versicinema the cinema\u2019s name \u2013 Palace and Palas \u2013 into the sides of the building.<\/p>\n

Hedge School by AP+E<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Designed, by AP+E, The Hedge School\u00a0in Carlow was designed as an amphitheater of timber columns for use as an outdoor teaching space for a primary school. Its name refers to Irish hedge schools from the 18th and 19th centuries, where children were taught outside surrounded by nature.<\/p>\n

West Limerick Children\u2019s Centre by SATA<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

SATA added a mirrored roof to this children\u2019s care center in West Limerick, which reflects the surrounding treetops and west Ireland skies and blends the structure into its landscaped setting.<\/p>\n

University of Limerick Living Bridge by Wilkinson Eyre Architects<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

This bridge, which crosses the river Shannon, features a deck that fluctuates in width along the length of the crossing to allow for resting places and public art displays. Built in 2007, the 350-metre-long bridge creates a link between the university\u2019s established County Limerick campus to the south and its expansion into County Clare to the north.<\/p>\n

VISUAL & the George Bernard Shaw Theatre by Terry Pawson Architects<\/h4>\n

London firm Terry Pawson Architects designed this gallery in Carlow to be arranged around a large central exhibition space, with smaller gallery spaces and a theater arranged around it. The building, called VISUAL & the George Bernard Shaw Theatre, features a fa\u00e7ade made of large panels of opaque glass on a concrete plinth.<\/p>\n

National Film School by ABK<\/h4>\n

\"A\"architecture<\/a><\/p>\n

The National Film School building was designed by ABK to accommodate additional film and blue-screen studios, radio studios, lecture rooms and technical services. Its glass facade is printed with images from the history of cinematography.<\/p>\n

Medical School and Student Residences at the University of Limerick by Grafton Architects<\/h4>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Grafton Architects named this group of buildings at the University of Limerick as one of the eight projects that have defined their career so far. The design includes a limestone-clad medical school and three red-brick student housing blocks.<\/p>\n
