Today we\u2019ll get you inside into the\u00a0British rapper Tinie Tempah<\/em><\/strong> house that David Adjaye<\/strong> designed for the late Alexander McQueen<\/strong>! Five years ago the rapper bought this house and\u00a0adapted it to himself. In an exclusive interview with Dezeen, he reveals that\u00a0he plans to move into architecture himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot everyone gets to say I\u2019ve got\u00a0Alexander McQueen\u2019s house to put their own spin on,\u201d said the 28-year-old rapper, who bought, in 2012, the east London home.<\/p>\n

\"Get\"new<\/a><\/p>\n

The UK artist with more\u00a0number ones in the country, confess\u00a0he wasn\u2019t very aware of Adjaye\u2019s architecture until he bought the house.\u00a0\u201cWhen I saw it, it just felt like a place I needed to be in,\u201d said the musician.<\/p>\n

Adjaye is a\u00a0London-based architecture, who was born in Ghana.\u00a0he made his name with a series of London\u00a0houses, including the iconic Dirty House.<\/p>\n

\"Get<\/p>\n

Tinie\u00a0is planning to collaborate with Adjaye on a project.\u00a0\u201cI want to put it out there, I haven\u2019t had the pleasure to meet David Adjaye yet, even though there\u2019s been a few times when we were meant to be at the same place,\u201d he\u00a0said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to design a really incredible countryside, modern farmhouse. That would be pretty epic and I definitely want to reach out to Adjaye to help me do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Get\"architecture<\/a><\/p>\n

Many of the features installed by\u00a0Adjaye and\u00a0McQueen at the Victorian property were kept by Tinie. He added to the interiors\u00a0more taxidermy\u00a0which he assured us is ethically sourced.\u00a0\u201cThe giraffe was already there, but I bought a zebra, which is my favourite animal, so that the giraffe could have a friend in the house,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He has put a hot tub on the roof, transformed the outhouse into a \u201cchilling room\u201d and installed a high-tech sound system throughout the property.\u00a0He has also redesigned the basement, where he spends most of his time.<\/p>\n

\"Get<\/p>\n

\u201cI just turned it\u00a0into a boys room. I added some concrete to the walls just to give it a New York warehouse, apartment feel.\u201d\u00a0The basement also features a wall of trophies, a pinball machine, a pair of Back to the Future Nike Air Mags housed in a vitrine, and a one-man gym.<\/p>\n

\"Get\"zaha<\/a><\/p>\n

The musician, entrepreneur and style icon now intends on adding architecture to his list of credentials.\u00a0\u201cI definitely want to get involved more in education and the way people learn, so I guess the way schools are designed and departments of schools,\u201d Tinie told Dezeen. \u201cI\u2019ve even toyed with the idea of one day designing university accommodation.\u201d<\/p>\n
