The\u00a0Benjamin Hubert\u2019s studio Layer, an industrial design <\/strong><\/em>agency, \u00a0has lined its new London warehouse offices with a really simple main goal: keep their workers inspired. For that, the recently relocated studio used coloured display boxes that frame elements from recent projects.<\/p>\n

Hubert did everything to turn the 3,500-square-foot warehouse in Hackney, east London, into a\u00a0flexible environment that suited the 20-person-strong team, which is made up of researchers, engineers and industrial, graphic and digital designers.<\/p>\n

\"An \"An\"An\"architecture<\/a><\/p>\n

Another goal of this project was to maintain the\u00a0studio\u2019s brand identity using\u00a0with the color and style choices that clearly\u00a0reflect it!\u00a0The entrance to the studio is fronted by a black stained oak door complete with glossy signage. This leads through to the main breakout space, where Layer\u2019s acoustic dividers can be arranged to accommodate different working needs.<\/p>\n

A warmer material palette of oak and soft grey was used to differentiate the staff kitchen and dining area, which is lit by the studio\u2019s Spinning lights.\u00a0Industrial shelving storing and displaying scale models, materials, and production samples is used to split up the breakout space and main studio. These displays are intended to keep the team inspired.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe interior has been designed to inspire the team, with a constantly evolving display of work, samples, and research showcased within the interior architecture,\u201d said Hubert.\u00a0\u201cExposed tech cabling throughout the entire studio gives the interior a raw and honest expression\u201d.<\/p>\n
