For the Astana Expo 2017<\/strong><\/em>, the British\u00a0architect\u00a0Asif Khan<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0musician Brian Eno, gather their forces and designed\u00a0the UK Pavilion<\/strong>. The project was unveiled\u00a0by them and the main goal was to explore the origins of energy.<\/p>\n

The UK Pavilion was named as\u00a0We Are Energy, <\/em>using a combination of sound and animation, the pavilion\u00a0will look at the creation of energy, beginning with the origins of the\u00a0universe almost 14 billion years ago and culminating with present-day energy production.<\/p>\n

\"Take<\/p>\n

Seeking to promote sustainable energy sources and technologies,\u00a0Khan will use Future Energy as its theme.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe universe was formed 13.8 billion years ago,\u201d said Khan. \u201cAt that moment all energy and matter was in the same place at the same time. The idea that everything, including life on earth, is comprised of this archaic energy is fascinating to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Take<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to find a way to express this relationship to our visitors and explore how energy is being continually harnessed and balanced around us,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The pavilion will be divided up into sections to represent the \u201cexpansion of the universe\u201d, \u201chuman ingenuity, landscape and nature\u201d and \u201cUK innovation\u201d.<\/p>\n

Eno\u00a0was the responsible for the\u00a0soundscape to accompany the different areas. Beginning with a single note at the entrance and the section investigating the creation of the universe, expanding before into a multi-tonal piece that narrates the portion of the exhibition exploring human invention.<\/p>\n

The centerpiece of the exhibition will be an illuminated cylindrical screen which will ask visitors to imagine a world fuelled by graphene.<\/p>\n
