Created by the New York-based SO-IL, comes a very unique house<\/strong><\/em> that, that\u2019s right, folds up to become 100% portable!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s called\u00a0\u201cBreathe \u2013 Mini Living\u201d home<\/strong>, and it was designed by the New York architecture firm SO-IL<\/a>. Built entirely from reusable and recyclable materials, reducing its impact on the environment, the biggest key to the home\u2019s mobility is\u00a0that it wasn\u2019t built on bricks or wood, but instead from a breathable mesh fabric!<\/p>\n

A prototype of this portable home was set up during Milan Design Week<\/strong><\/a>, so if you were there, you already know how amazing and convenient this architectural piece can be. However, if you had the chance to visit this futuristic house, you also know that the material that it\u2019s made of can be a little see-through, so if you were looking for an extra private residence, you might want to think twice.<\/p>\n

Inside the structure, there are six small rooms and a rooftop that cover 861 square feet. In terms of functionality, the house takes advantage of a roof drainage system for washing purposes and is powered by a generator for electricity.<\/p>\n

\u201c[We want to] integrate this idea of the house moving with you, where\u00a0the inhabitants would just have to change the exterior skin to adapt to the specific climate conditions,\u201d Oke Hauser, the creative head of Mini Living who worked with SO-IL architects on the housing concept, told designboom<\/span>. Meaning even though the design is still in its early stages, a flat-pack moving system might be in the works.<\/p>\n
