Clerkenwell Design Week<\/em><\/strong> is back again to London! To celebrate design,\u00a0once again, Clerkenwell plays host from 23\u201325 May to its annual extravaganza of design. Enjoy our preview of the show!<\/p>\n

\"Flash\"new<\/a><\/p>\n

Every year, one of te highlights of the trade show are the\u00a0installations commissioned specifically for the event.\u00a0At the historic St\u00a0John\u2019s Gate, design and fabrication practice Aldworth James & Bond will create Order, a multi-dimensional structure using 145 Corian octagons. Meanwhile, a 7.5m-tall viewing platform called Beacon will draw people towards Spa Fields.\u00a0Nearby, office specialist Buzzispace, will show a new concept: a playful, elevated workspace-cum-adult jungle gym by Belgian designer Jonas Van Put.<\/p>\n

For seven years, the show has hosted brands that don\u2019t have a permanent presence in Clerkenwell, including, this year, retailer John Lewis. Alongside with him,\u00a0Vitra will show off its latest products within a \u2018secret garden\u2019 installation, while Carl Hansen & S\u00f8n will reveal its reissue of the PK1 chair by Poul Kj\u00e6rholm for the first time in the UK.<\/p>\n

Domus\u00a0showroom\u00a0will unveil both the LCS Ceramics Collection, developed in conjunction with Fondation Le Corbusier and based on the architect\u2019s Polychromie Architecturale palette, and Kaza Weave, a 3D concrete tile by Stockholm-based Note Design Studio.<\/p>\n

\"Flash<\/p>\n

Bolon, the flooring company,\u00a0will present its latest range, designed by Pritzker prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel. Over on Leather Lane, Pentagon Tiles will launch a new showroom. Also, local eatery Albion will get a makeover courtesy of Anglepoise and Ercol, both of which will\u00a0be launching items to furnish the\u00a0restaurant.<\/p>\n

Regarding the usual talks,\u00a0CDW\u2019s main talks programme will take place at Design Fields,\u00a0and feature designer Morag Myerscough, HS2 design-panel chair Sadie Morgan and architect Ben Adams, as well as discussions about future cities, flexible workspace and Brexit.<\/p>\n

Moroso will also\u00a0present a discussion with Doshi Levien, Ege will announce its new Atelier collection by Christian Lacroix with a talk by the fashion designer, and Milliken will host a conversation with Jay Osgerby and Crafts Council director Annie Warburton.<\/p>\n
