Solera was born from the will of a Sevillian entrepreneur, Pepa Basc\u00f3n, of bringing some of her country into Cologne, the German city to where she decided to move twenty years ago.<\/p>\n

She started in the hospitality business but, more than 10 years ago, decided to set up a small store of Spanish products in the center of\u00a0Cologne, bringing the best of Spain to Germany.<\/p>\n

The project was very well accepted and some years later she decided to start a more ambitious wholesaler to attend a growing demand of Spanish products by Italian and Spanish restaurants in and around\u00a0Cologne\u00a0and Dusseldorf.<\/p>\n

The increasing popularity of Spanish gastronomy in Germany, made Pepa Basc\u00f3n decide to open a new \u2018cash & carry\u2019 supermarket.<\/p>\n

For that, she contacted Masquespacio to design her new brand and interior space.<\/p>\n

The design of the new Solera with an area of about 500 square meters has as main idea to show people a touch of Mediterranean emotion, mixed with functional features necessary for the business.<\/p>\n

The predominating black color indicates seriousness and, at the same time, the colorful details take us to Spain.<\/p>\n

Other elements make us think about Andaluc\u00eda like the grids with ornaments, as well as the awnings and typical Mediterranean tiles.<\/p>\n

The signage, also done by Masquespacio follows the patterns of the brand, adding a touch of emotion to the interior design, transmitting Spanish happiness.<\/p>\n

Last but not least the kitchen for degustation and seminaries, next to the cold chamber, clearly shows the pattern of Solera\u2019s new market, a cash & carry 100% focused on Spanish gastronomy.<\/p>\n
