Today we\u2019re going to talk about how Legion<\/em>, the super baby of FX has conquered its place in the hearts of the audience and how its aesthetic influences everything around itself.<\/p>\n

Legion has been in our inner circle of TV shows since the beginning of the year. Based on the acclaimed comic book by Marvel, this enticing story has so many ups and downs, plot twists and action just as much that is having its touch of glamor and candidness.<\/p>\n

Michael Wylie<\/em>, responsible for set design<\/em> production, explains that Legion doesn\u2019t really have a style. It\u2019s purpose it\u2019s for the audience to understand what the main character, David, is really feeling. That\u2019s why it has so many influences. Since a touch of Amelie, an applauding movie, to A Clockwork Orange, a masterpiece.<\/p>\n

Michael Wylie is no stranger when it comes to Marvel works. Having already worked with another amazing character that is Agent Carter, he explains that Legion has a touch of Kubrick\u2019s production design<\/em> and cinematography.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s only understandable when you\u2019re working with Noah Hawley, one of the series directors, that already knew what he wanted for this show to get the appraise it deserves.<\/p>\n

\"Inside<\/p>\n

Michael also explains that Noah Hawley is very peculiar in this type of thing. \u201cHe made a \u2018lookbook,\u2019 which he gave me at my job interview. It was awesome.\u201d Wylie explains.<\/p>\n

The joy that must have been to work with this spectacular crew. This Marvel dystopian story brings all the freshness and diversity that we were looking for. From open spaces to small places crowded with flying objects, everything was thought out. In a recent interview, Michael Wylie explained that \u201cWe did stuff for no other reason than because it looked cool. There was a freedom to design things for pure aesthetic joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Inside<\/p>\n

One of the aspects that they focused the most was the lighting part. This totally can be seen in the Clockworks scheme of things. Wylie explains that for Clockworks footage, they even installed nearly 200 LED lighting fixtures in the ceilings to control color, brightness, and temperature. \u201cWhen you can do whatever you want,\u201d said Wylie, \u201cit doesn\u2019t matter if it\u2019s right or not. It\u2019s incredibly free and liberating.\u201d<\/p>\n
