We all know that most any place can be transformed into a home and another good example is this chapel that was transformed into a home in Switzerland<\/strong><\/em>. Although it seems\u00a0hard to imagine, the final result is very interesting.<\/p>\n

Morscher ArchItekten\u00a0converted a former chapel built in 1924 in Art Deco style in a Bern neighborhood and totally defaced in a 1970s renovation into two new apartments.<\/p>\n

In order to keep the ground floor free of supports and retain the high church windows, the upper apartment was hung as a concrete cube.<\/p>\n

It was possible to open up the previously closed south fa\u00e7ade with generous sliding windows and projecting balconies looking onto the neighborhood and the garden.<\/p>\n

Both flats were equipped with a ventilation system that is perfectly integrated into the inter-face between living and sleeping areas, bringing in fresh air.<\/p>\n

The former altar area became the kitchen and dining room and is always fulfilled with joy and pure laughter from the children.<\/p>\n

The magical touch in this house is the swing that hangs from the ceiling in the living room.<\/p>\n
