After four years of renovating their Northern<\/strong><\/em> California house,<\/em><\/strong> Karen and John have a beautiful home where they can raise their family. While thinking of their dreamy house design, they wanted not\u00a0just any\u00a0mid-century modern home<\/strong><\/em>, but one that specifically designed by the one and only Joseph Eichler.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe fell in love with Eichler homes<\/strong> and mid-century modern design<\/strong> after seeing a nearby open house for a thoughtfully restored and renovated Eichler<\/em>,\u201d Karen says. \u201cWe decided we wanted to live in an inspiring home like that one, as a place to raise our boys and entertain friends and family<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The living room is really what we call the mid-century dream. The lighting is simply one of our favorite details since it takes in light from all directions, including from the ceiling skylight. Of course, we also love the s<\/a>putnik chandelier<\/a><\/strong> <\/em>that provides a sophisticated touch to the room.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe love the special details that make Eichler homes<\/strong> unique<\/em>,\u201d Karen and John say. \u201cWe have worked hard to bring back some architectural details that were once taken away from the house, such as glass windows and warm wood materials.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
