According to the news, the\u00a0Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit 2018\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is going to be the event of the year! From the 20th to the 21st of June 2018, Oporto will be the centre\u00a0stage of the unique summit that has all it all. Joining the luxury design world\u00a0<\/strong>with the master skills of the\u00a0ancient crafts\u00a0<\/strong>will be the ones making this event a special one.<\/p>\n

Taking place in a unique city, the opening event will be at Pavilh\u00e3o Multiusos de Gondomar designed\u00a0by Pritzker Winners, Architect \u00c1lvaro Siza Vieira. The city that is known for its craftsmanship heritage, Oporto is going to be the centre stage of what the luxury industry has to offer with debate and informed conversation for those who seek to be at the forefront of the Luxury Design<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n

The 1st edition of the this\u00a0Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit\u00a0<\/strong>is going to showcase some of the\u00a0craftsmanship heritage\u00a0<\/strong>that Portugal has to offer. Organized by the Covet Group and in association with the Thinkers & Makers Foundation. The mission is to celebrate and honour the craftsmanship and the people that work towards the unique pieces we get to have.<\/p>\n

The first day is going to be a delight. The first panel is going to be dedicated to\u00a0The Value of Craftsmanship for the Luxury World<\/strong> and it will showcase real cases that transmit the soul behind the meaning of exclusivity and authenticity in unique handmade pieces. To close this amazing first day, Gondomar\u2019s Mayor, Marco Martins.<\/p>\n

The second day is going to present the \u201cDesign as a Driving force for Local Craftsmanship<\/strong>\u201d. The panel is going to bring to its guests a closer look into the rise of\u00a0Designer-Maker \u2013 \u201ca journey from the past towards a new cultural progress to promote creativity and innovation while respecting traditions and safeguarding heritage.\u201d<\/p>\n

The day will be closed with the promising panel \u201cLuxury Branding: The Behind the Scenes Story<\/strong>\u201d- and it has on its quest to\u00a0debate the connexion between the\u00a0heritage techniques and its usage in the recent marketing campaigns of leading luxury and business industries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
