DMY International Design Festival started today and it extends itself until 9th June.<\/p>\n

The historic city airport Berlin Tempelhof is the main stage of the \u00a0festival\u2019s central exhibition, where visitors are invited to explore new design products, prototypes and material innovations.<\/p>\n

Be surprised to know that there are over 500 exposers, among designers, companies and universities that showcase their latest works.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Polish Design Focus will give a comprehensive overview of the contemporary design production and culture of our second largest neighbor country. The focus presents showcases of over 40 studios, companies and universities as well as thematic exhibitions, conceived in cooperation with Polish Institute Berlin.<\/p>\n

Academy of Fine Arts in Warsow<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The idea of the project was to create a product that could be made in a selected craftsman\u2019s workshop. As it turned out, specialists and their workshops providing unique knowledge, skills, or traditional technology have recently been affected by the crisis. As a result, a group of seven designers and six workshops emerged: spring production, a shoemaker\u2019s, leather craft workshop, iron foundry, metal spinning workshop, and tailor\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Bj\u00f6rn Andersson Studio<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"BJORN<\/a><\/p>\n

Berlin-based Swedish designer and architect Bj\u00f6rn Andersson has created a series of concept light fixtures for DMY. The designs are studies of clean geometric shapes and diffused light.<\/p>\n

Istituto Europeo di Design\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"DMY\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Students of \u00bbMasters of Design and Innovation\u00ab are the artists that created \u00a0these projects, which are divided into the following categories: design for emergencies, design for sustainability, design for learning, design to investigate the identity, design for entrepreneurship and design for communication.<\/p>\n

LUG is a leader among Polish lighting fixture producers. LUG is active in the professional lighting industry \u2013 they specialize in industrial production and decorative lighting fixtures for the internal and external illumination of public buildings, and industrial and architectural sites.<\/p>\n
