Delightfull is glad to announce to our readers the official celebrations of the Diamond Jubilee, which will centre around an extended weekend on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June. The goal is to mark\u00a060 years of The Queen\u2019s reign<\/strong>: William\u2019s marriage, the heir of \u00a0the english throne, is the latest big event which was blessed by the mythical figure Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s talk about facts: the Queen came to the throne on 6 February 1952 and her coronation took place on 2 June 1953. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee (25 years) in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 2002.<\/p>\n Communities all around the country will be celebrating over an extended bank holiday weekend, and there will be many ways to get involved in local events.<\/p>\n On Saturday The Queen will attend the Epsom Derby<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The fourth annual Big Lunch will occur Not only in the center of London, but also in the neighbourhood.\u00a0With local councils receiving almost 9,500 road closure applications, this year\u2019s event promises to be the biggest and best ever!<\/p>\n The Queen will lead up to a thousand boats in one of the largest flotillas ever seen on the River Thames. The pageant will start at 2.00 pm, \u00a0from Battersea Bridge. Big screens can be seen along the pageant rout.<\/p>\n The viewing areas will be open from 8.00 am, but space will be limited\u2026 Hurry up!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Monday, 4 June<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0 In the Buckingham palace, the celebrations will continue with a concert organised by the BBC, featuring some of the biggest name in music. It will be attended by The Queen and other members of the Royal Family.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n The Queen and other members of the Royal Family will attend a national service of thanksgiving at St.Paul\u2019s Cathedral, which will include a prayer written, at The Queen\u2019s direction, by the Chapter of St Paul\u2019s Cathedral in honour of the Diamond Jubilee. A \u2018Diamond Choir\u2019 of children from around the UK will sing a specially composed song\u2026 Isn\u2019t it lovely?<\/p>\n Later in the day, the Royal Family will travel from Westminster Hall to Buckingham Palace by carriage, along a processional route. Shortly after their arrival, the Royal family will appear on the balcony and an RAF fly-past will take place.<\/p>\n If you arrive late, don\u2019t worry: the events will be shown on big screens in Hyde Park, St James\u2019s Park and Trafalgar Square.<\/p>\n60 years of The Queen\u2019s reign<\/h4>\n
