Posts about the city of lights? We just can’t get enough. Specially when good food goes along with an elegant design. Restaurants in Paris are already known for an excellent cuisine, that tastes even better when we are sitting on places like these:
LES 110 DE TAILLEVENT
Elegant design and genuine french cuisine. Les 110 de Taillevent is one hell of a choice if you are a wine fan: there is a hundred and ten offers, that are skillfully matched to each cooking. Impressive as this is, it’s nearly impossible not to appreciate the perfectly matched decor created by architect Pierre-Yves Rochon.
CIEL DE PARIS
The renewed 56th floor of The Montparnasse Tower is now one of the best restaurants in Paris. The well known french designer Noe Duchaufour Lawrance redesigning and total refurbished the place that offers the clients an astonishing view.
Warm lighting glows out from behind the circular mirrors covering the ceiling, as well as around the edges of the room and from beneath the curved central bar.
LA GARE
La Gare restaurant used to be an actual train station and the main dining hall has been designed around the old train tracks and platforms which have been kept in tact (they even left the old iron tracks). You can’t take a train anymore but it’s an amazing travel in time.
It’s a very nostalgic place to dine and the space extends out onto a large terrace if you feel like dining outside. The prices are fair for such a fabulous setting and even the ones who have more particular taste, just can’t go wrong with the food here.
LE GRAND RESTAURANT
In addition to being one of the very best French chefs of his rapidly ascending generation, Jean-François Piège is also an aesthete with a remarkable talent, not only for cooking but also for creating restaurants with a signature level of charm. Le Grand Restaurant is not an exception. Interior designer Gulla Jonsdottir helped Piège and his wife to create a strikingly original decor, which plays with the visual codes of Parisian good taste.
MA COCOTTE
There is an old reason to visit the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen: the largest and most famous flea market in Paris. But these days we have another good excuse: Ma Cocotte, the bustling new restaurant designed by Philippe Starck. Featuring a casual and eclectic interior furniture, is definitely one of the best places to eat in the romantic Paris.
