Frankfurt-based interior design and furniture firm Morgen Studio has been developing and creating interior design solutions since 1998, and they keep going strong in this ever growing industry. They develop not only residential but also commercial projects, amongst many others. We have been following their work for some time now, and today we selected one of their private projects to share with you. It is a stunning mid-century inspired modern home filled with colors and beautiful lighting designs, and we can’t wait to show you why we love this project so much, so let’s get to it!

Bad Kreuznach is the name of the mid-century home we want to share with you today. A private residential space, this house was decorated in a quite minimalist way, letting the amazing structure and natural features of the architecture speak for itself most of the time. In the dining area, we can see that the designers made sure there was not too much furniture cluttering the space up. A simple solid wood dining table and suspended sideboard were mixed with darker colors seen on the bar-inspired dining chairs and the industrial suspension lamps. A simple painting can be seen at the end of the room, creating a more complete atmosphere in the whole area.
There is more reserved space near one of the big windows of the living room that creates the perfect ambience for a Sunday-afternoon spent reading your favorite book. There, we can see that earthier tones were used, as well as the materials, with a stunning side table inspired by nature. The green of the armchair is everything because – obviously – Greenery is everything! There is also a simple floor lamp right behind it, perfect to create the right mood for a reading session.

Coleman floor lamp is a minimalist lighting design that can be used in more contemporary spaces, or whenever you feel like you need the right lamp to set the right mood.
Another suspended sideboard can be seen in this part of the room, with a very mid-century feeling to it. The type of wood chosen is perfect to highlight the flooring, as well as the light walls. Also, the artwork spread a little bit all over the room enhances the more relaxed and personal features of this private home.
Finally, both in the kitchen and the washroom we can see stunning tiling. In the kitchen – pictured above – the tiling chosen for the backsplash has more of a red color, contrasting beautifully with the beige cabinets. On the contrary, in the washroom, we can see a more discreet and light colored tiling, which – again – contrasts in the most stunning way with the black cabinets and the minimalist vibe going on.
