The Museum of London present the major free exhibition for 2017, The City is Ours! With more than half the world’s population living in urban areas, this exhibition asks how and why cities around the world are changing, and what urban communities are doing to improve city life.

The exhibition sits at the heart of City Now City Future, a year-long season of exhibitions, creative commissions, large-scale public events, talks and debates which will tackle questions as “How and why are our cities transforming?”; “What are urban communities around the world doing to improve city life?”; “How can you participate in shaping your cities today and in the future?”

The exhibition invites visitors to explore the pleasures and challenges of urban living through a range of digital and physical interactives and films. Here you’ll understand which individuals, communities, and governments are working to improve city life, from reducing food waste, to creating cleaner air and better transport systems.

The presentation is split into three gallery spaces, each one for a specific section: Urban Earth, Cities Under Pressure and Urban Futures. The showcase will be available from July 14th to January 2nd, 2018. The entrance is free, but if you’d like to have an audio tour you should book in advance.
