Milan Design Week novelties were so many, that we couldn’t forget to highlight the Booo Studio news: a line of L.E.D. bulbs from the Dutch company, which was displayed in Spazio Rossana Orlandi.
The designers Front, Nacho Carbonell and Formafantasma produced these L.E.D. bulbs, which are predicted to be sold in September. Prices will oscille between 40 and 80 euros ($53 to $106). Each bulb is its own light fixture, which justifies the price.Carbonell’s Future of Lighting bulb,Formafantasma’s Light Species and Front’s Surface Tension Lamp are the L.E.D. bulbs that represent Booo Studio’s innovation.
Each design studio also created a limited-edition bulb for Booo (expected to cost far more than the production models), but the most captivating of the three is Front’s Surface Tension Lamp. What looks in a still photo like a very delicate glass bulb is, in fact, a bubble.
