Hosting the show this year, Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis made a tribute to Michael Bublé. The singer that was supposed hosted the show, has to miss the show to take care of his 3 years old son that was diagnosed with liver cancer.

Dermot said: “Myself and Emma are honoured to be your hosts, but truth be told, I would rather be down there watching Michael Buble up here host the show.” Emma added: “We so wish he could have been with us this evening and everybody at the Brits sends him all our love and fingers crossed we will see him again next year.”

The big David Bowie was the star of the night! The legend was recognized with two awards: British Male Solo Artist and British Album of the Year.

The great tribute paid by the former members of Wham! to George Michael was one of the emotional moments of the night! The bandmates Pepsi, Andrew Ridgeley and Shirlie paid their respects to the star and struggled to hold back their tears. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin then took to the stage to sing Wham! track A Different Corner while recordings and images of the star played in the background.

Bringing a political statement to the show, Katy Perry danced alongside burning skeletons dressed as Theresa May and Donald Trump during her performance. Also, at the end of Chained to the Rhythm performance, one of her dancers dressed as a tiny house fell off the stage.
