Monday starts with a design novelty that surely will impress you: it’s the last innovation of Hackney’s studio, called Styrene, conceived by Paul Cocksedge. This is not a usual lamp. Truly, it’s a pendant lamp made from heat-shrunk plastic cups.
This original piece was presented to Cocksedge’s graduation from the Royal College of Art in 20o2 but, now, Cocksedge decided to available it to the public. Centered around a fluorescent bulb, the intention is to create shadows in any surface it illuminates. Brilliant, don’t you agree?
