It is undoubtedly fascinating to emerge in the beautiful celebrity portraits work of Craig Redman of the NY graphic design duo Craig & Karl. The series, Guise and Protagonist, were designed for a joint exhibition in Ferrara and Milan.
The portraits vary from artists to pop stars or fashion and film icons. If you recognise Warhol style in Redman’s work, don’t be surprised: he’s a major influence in his work. The colorful geometric patterns used to redesign the celebrities portraits are minutely conceived.
Each face is so obvious that you can’t mistake who’s who.
