The best design fairs are starting right now: that’s the case of IMM Cologne 2013, which starts today and extends itself until 20th January in Koelnmesse.
The exhibition’s primary focus is contemporary furniture and interior design, but also showcases innovative materials and fabrics and latest architectural lighting design technology. Along the Salone del Mobile at Milan, the IMM Cologne is regarded as a leading market place for related industries, i. e. furniture designers, furniture companies, furniture retailers, architects and interior designers

Under The Bell is not just a lampshade. When hung over a table or in an open environment it creates its own space within the bigger space.
Iskos Berlin created something very independent with „Under the Bell“ for Muuto. Under the Bell is not only usable as decorative pendant lamp, but it can also set characteristic accents as individual design object. Aino and Alvar Aalto were commissioned in 1936 to design the interior of the Savoy Restaurant in Helsinki. Made from a single piece of brass, the elegant Golden Bell was a part of the restaurant’s interior. It was shown in the Finnish Pavilion of the Paris World Expo in 1937.
