Allow us to present you one of the most elegant luxury apartments we know. Julia Dzhanlatyan has been professionally designing spaces and interiors, using statement pieces of furniture and lighting. The artist creates interiors for residential projects, like this high-end luxury apartment.
When asked about her team and personal style, the interior designer – that studied in Moscow and trained in London – said: “I have ? good team to manage different tasks. I like to work with colour and contrasts, ornaments and difficult textures. As in life so in my interior designs I love to be daring and ironic”.
– Where do you find inspiration?
“I find my inspiration in Francisco Infante’s art and in the McQueen’s style with his inexhaustible fantasy, eccentric ideas, unexpected and picturesque combinations. The connection with the world and the cultural heritage of different and several countries are also inspiring aspects.”
– Tell us about the ‘Kutuzovskaya Riviera’ project.
“This particular apartment was created to be the Moscow home of a young and dynamic family that is constantly travelling all over the world and that is planning to increase the number of members in the future.”
“It is a modern apartment building with a smoky sky glazed facade that looks even more fabulous with clouds reflected in it.”
“These exterior colours inspired me and helped me finding the basic colour palette for this interior: I wanted to reach a harmony between the outer shape and the inner space. Like people themselves, interior designs are often lacking unity between the external form and internal content.”
“To get a comfortable space smartly filled with details was one of my principles while creating this home project. The solution was to combine the colours of the cold blue sky and deep blue sea framed by black boundaries with warm colours: baked milk and cinnamon. Golden shining matte brass elegantly thematically embraces the whole space: it meanders along the baseboard, reaches the door handles, little nails and lamps.”
“I brought inspiration from Design Exhibitions in Paris and Milan and several new products were purchased there, transported carefully to Moscow and arranged in the flat. Other objects were personally created and then crafted in Russia.”
“Sparse sunlight is one of the regional specifics in Moscow. That is why a multi-level lighting system provides a special atmosphere and an uplifted mood. The large living room is sensible in this case and enables the family to receive guests and organise parties or spend romantic time together using the comfortable fireplace near the workplace.”
