Europe’s largest design exhibition – Maison et Objet 2016– just wrapped up in Paris, revealing the direction interior design will take in this year. Take a look at our brand selection and meet some brands that will present their products in the event.
1. ADÓNDE
From quilted lampshades that are reminiscent of astronaut’s space suits to new designs inspired by eclipses, planets and stars, there is an underlying ‘out of this world’ trend to lighting at the 2016 Maison et Objet show. French studio Adónde’s new ‘Eclipse’ floor lamps explore shadows and planetary spheres.
2. METYLOS
Designer Arnaud de Palange for Metylos. Here you see Nicole light fitting – a neat hanging wooden bar with an LED light , draped with a punctured sheet of felt that is designed to echo stars glittering in a night sky. The felt can be lifted off and doubles up as a floor rug, too.
3. DELIGHTFULL
Turner table lamp is simply a head turner. Inspired by Tina Turner’s dance moves it has an art deco shape with the possibility of rotating its arcs into the desired position so that you can create your favorite composition at any time. The arcs are made in brass with a copper ?nish and the top cover in aluminum lacquered in glossy white. A unique lamp by DelightFULL.
4. DRUGEOT LABO
Here you have EMPIL desk by DRUGEOT LABO, a brand of Ateliers du Drugeot, a renowned manufacturer of premium quality small furniture. A streamlined side facing a disorganised side, the desk play with contrasts. A combination of 4 cases that can be set as one wishes. It offers the features of a classic office. The top is equipped with a grip to connect, or reload its mobile. Designed and made in Anjou (Loire Valley).
5. METALMOBIL
Metalmobil presents Uni-Ka, the armchair which adds a new dimension to the world of tub chairs thanks to its padded effect texture. Uni-Ka is a product which captivates with its rounded and welcoming shape; a go-anywhere chair, as the polypropylene seat colour variations and the various choices of steel frame make it ideal for all gatherings, and particularly suitable for restaurants and hospitality premises.
