Designed to be the perfect holiday home and look like a traditional Alpine house, this project by Yonder is located in the mountainous Allgäu region of southern Germany.
The big difference between this holiday home and the typical chalet is the big slice that you can find in the middle of the house. They sliced a section out of the middle of the volume, dividing the house into two parts with a secluded courtyard in between.

The goal was to create a house that combined the regional traditions with contemporary materials. The result was spacious family dwelling on one side, and a storage shed on the other.
As the Yoder studio has explained, “House P’s geometry was generated by maximising the property’s allowable building envelope, and then slicing an oblique section from that volume along its centre axis”
